About Monmouth County Public Housing Agency

The Monmouth County Public Housing Agency, as part of the Monmouth County Division of Social Services, was authorized by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on July 5, 1977 to provide rent subsidies to Monmouth County Residents. MCDSS is proud to be one of the few county welfare agencies in the state to be designated as a public housing agency.


Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Monmouth County Division of Social Services to enhance the quality of life and self-sufficiency of people in need of financial and social services. We provide leadership, advocacy, planning and delivery of these services in partnership with public and private organizations. Our staff are dedicated to providing services with respect, compassion and accountability.

Services are administered in accordance with all applicable Federal and State nondiscrimination laws that prohibit discrimination based on, but not limited to, the following: age, race, color, sex, disability, religious creed, national origin, marital status, parental or birth status or sexual orientation.
